Twenty years
together on the shore
The Open Road Fest in Alsóörs was, for two decades, one of the defining meeting points of Hungary's motorcycle and live-music scene. Held every year from 2000 to 2019, it became far more than a motorcycle event over that time — it became home to a close-knit community.
Year after year, thousands of riders and festival-goers came to Alsóörs — not just from Hungary, but from nearly every country in Europe. The Lake Balaton shore, the bikes, the group rides and the big concerts set the mood — but its real strength was always the community that came back every summer.
02 — The story continues
The Legend returns
The event's founder, together with a dedicated businessman with a motorcycling background, have decided to return to Alsóörs again in 2027.
The initiative's goal is to revive the classic values and legendary traditions, while also bringing wider parts of Hungary's motorcycling community into the programme.
The 2027 festival will be organised with a far more eclectic musical line-up and an expanded supporting programme than ever before.
